Homecare Essentials is proud to announce we have joined forces with Hope4Malawi to provide essential hygiene products that will be distributed as part of a larger package given free of charge to young women in rural Malawian schools.
“Many girls in Malawi drop out of school when they reach puberty, due to poor sanitary materials and as a result don’t want to return to school.
Hope4Malawi aims to help girls to continue in education by making washable sanitary towels available and training the girls in hygiene. This would free them to take advantage of economic and educational opportunities in rural Africa.”
Hope4Malawi is a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of the children of Malawi; they provide Kitchen facilities and cooks to provide a hot nutritious meal for primary school children where previously there was none.
They are working to improve schools in the impoverished South of the country by providing access to library facilities and ensuring children have enough seats in the classroom.
