Wow, it’s been awhile since I posted anything and I thought It would be a good idea to give you all a final blog before the switch is pulled to take down our current website and with it this iteration of our blog.
For the past few months, we have been moving at superluminal speeds to get the Homecare Essentials version 2 website ready for our launch, which I am please to inform you will be at midday on the 5th of September. The plan is, at 11.59am we will pull the lever to switch off our current servers and then at midday exactly, the new website will be sworn into office followed by a 21 gun salute and a rousing chorus of “hail to the chief” or Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” from the ninth symphony if I get my way.
Hopefully at that point, our new, all singing, all dancing website will be up and running and our IT guy can postpone his third nervous breakdown until after we have received our first order. We fully expect everything to work perfectly first time with no problems whatsoever, by “we” I mean the boss, however those of us who live in the, you know, “real world” are expecting the odd aberration and small issue here and there.
Once we are all up and running you will see a whole new look, which I hope you will all like and a much simpler, single page, checkout procedure. You can finally create your own account, which will save your orders so you can see what you bought previously and the whole site will be finally, mobile friendly (yes we have entered the 21st century Yay!)
There will be a whole new blog setup (which I still have not had chance to play with yet) where we can keep you informed of products and news and flash events and lots more besides (stay tuned)
Before I sign off for the last time here, there is one last bit of information.
Monday 28th August is of course the last bank holiday before christmas and this means that our order processing and customer communications offices will be closed so it means that any orders that are placed after 3pm on Friday will not be processed until Tuesday 29th August and we will have extremely limited access to emails so you may not get a reply until Tuesday Morning if your email is anything other than general information.
We have an answering machine for the telephone but be aware you may not get a response until Tuesday when our communications teams come back in.
So, that’s it then, all that remains is for me to say thank you all for reading our blogs and I hope to see you all on the new site on the 5th of September.
Bye for now.
