On the 1st of July, the Home Office added Sulphuric Acid to The Poison Act 1972 (Explosive Precursors) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.
What this means is products that contain Sulphuric Acid in concentrations of 15% by weight or higher, cannot be sold to the general public unless the buyer holds a valid EPP (Explosives, Precursor and Poisons) licence.
This now means we have to ban sales of certain products to members of the general public unless they hold a valid EPP licence and can provide a copy to us along with all the associated ID and paperwork.
Sales to trade customers and businesses can continue, however, the business name must be verifiable and the delivery of the products can ONLY be made to a registered business / company address.
The products affected by this new regulation are:
